In an effort to increase access to research positions both on campus and in graduate school, PURC also holds focused writing workshops for students applying to the Research Opportunity Program in psychology and those applying to research-focused graduate programs (MA/PhD) in psychology.
These workshops are split over several weeks (3 workshops total for ROP applications, 5 workshops total for graduate applications). Each week, we introduce a piece of the application and then perform group editing from the materials we introduced the week before. At the end of the workshop, every students gets at least one round of detailed feedback from a graduate mentor they are assigned to.
